Meu coração saltou quando eu vi
Um arco-íris ao longe:
Então foi quando a vida teve aurora.
Então sou homem agora;
Que seja quando velho for o ser,
Ou deixe-me fenecer.
A Criança é pai do Homem;
E que fossem atados os meus dias
A ambos por piedade almejar poderia.

The Rainbow

MY heart leaps up when I behold
A rainbow in the sky:
So was it when ray life began;
So is it now I am a man;
So be it when I shall grow old,
Or let me die!
The Child is father of the Man;
And I could wish my days to be 
Bound each to each by natural piety.
